University of Bergamo
Since 2016 we have managed the University’s servers, portals and platforms: a dedicated team that ensures continuity for students, lecturers and staff.
The context
A university never stops: online lectures, the institutional portal, restricted areas, staff services. Behind it all, you need systems that are always available and people who know them inside out.
After winning the tender, we have worked alongside the IT Services of the Università degli Studi di Bergamo in managing its infrastructure and web platforms. We look after operating systems and application servers, the University’s portal and websites, the e-learning platform, single sign-on and integrations with management systems, as well as support and training for lecturers and staff. Under the tender awarded in 2024, we also handle institutional communication through the portal, the dedicated websites of departments, degree programmes and research centres, and information tools such as kiosks and displays.
The challenge
The knots to untie.
- 01
Always-on services
The portal, e-learning and restricted areas are used every day by thousands of people: every outage affects teaching and administration.
- 02
Mixed technologies
Windows, Linux and virtualised environments, different application servers, CMSs and platforms that must coexist and be kept up to date over time.
- 03
Integration with the University
Single sign-on, the central directory and university management systems all need to talk to the portal and platforms.
- 04
Redundant skills
Every activity must be covered by more than one trained person, to ensure continuity even when someone is away.
Tailored solutions
